Reclaimed Antique Rough Sawn Wood Beams
Rough Sawn Beams
With refined rustic appeal, antique rough sawn beams hold circular saw marks left behind from the saw blade as the wood was first milled. Our customers love the warmth and aesthetics produced by these real wood beams, no matter where they’re featured in a home. Unlike the hand hewn beams, our rough sawn beams actually have a smoother, more refined look. You can still enjoy the rustic look of this antique barn wood with a cleaner, hand-crafted look.
Many of the original old barns and buildings built from these rough sawn timbers were made from whatever the sawmill or lumber yard had to offer at that time, be it Douglas fir shipped up the rivers by steamboat, a large variety of mixed hardwoods from local clearings or one or two species from a local grove that was recently felled. Using reclaimed wood in your DIY home improvement projects adds a piece of its history and reflects it into the space created.
All our reclaimed wood beams are pressure-washed and kiln-dried to stabilize the wood’s moisture content and eliminate the chances of mold and insects in the wood. We’ll also custom-cut the wood beams to your desired specifications. Contact us for more information on pricing or to learn more about rough sawn wood beams and custom size options.
