Freight Shipping

What will happen before delivery

About a week before the product ship date we will contact either you or the builder to make final shipping and payment arrangements. The day or so before your shipment arrives you will be contacted by the freight company to confirm delivery.  Your reclaimed wood order typically will ship common carrier.

You will receive an email with an attached Bill of Landing which shows the freight tracking number for the shipment, any shipping instruction details, pictures showing the packaged order ready to leave our facility, details on how to receive and inspect the shipment, and some notes on installation.

What to expect during delivery

The materials are typically sent on a custom built pallet secured with steel strapping. The truck driver does not assist with unloading so you will need a minimum of two people to off load the material.  We suggest having metal snips available to break the bands and then hand off loading the material from the trucks. The material can be quite heavy and too awkward for one person to carry safely.

The trucks themselves are usually around 36′ to 40′ long. In some instances, with larger orders, a semi truck will be the truck used. These are approximately 65′ to 70′ in length. Please let us know if you have special needs or cannot accept a large truck.

What to do when you receive your order

Inspect product upon receipt. If an issue arises – please contact us within 7 days of receipt. Once material is installed, it is deemed accepted and limits what we can do to help.
