Know your equations for figuring out square feet, board feet, linear feet and also how the correlate with each other. Square feet is usually the best way on figuring out size of floor or any project. Board feet is figured off of square feet to find how many boards are needed. Board feet is also calculated by length x width x thickness. Board feet correlate usually with pricing on products such as beams. A linear foot is a good quick way to calculate how much of a product you have to finish project.
