Traditional white oak, brilliant in every way. Smooth surface, brushed or original rustic faces combined with fresh color tones then finished with a variety of sheen levels. The sapwood is lighter than the heartwood, which is a light tan to yellow-brown. White oak is usually straight grained, but can be often irregular or cross-grained. White oak has a slightly less coarse texture than red oak and has been widely used throughout history as a cornerstone wood for most any application. White oak is the wood of choice for barrel cooperage for distilleries throughout history.
